Placed at the junction point of the Pho and Mo Chhu Rivers, Punakha is a splendid destination of Bhutan that has been widely admired by tourists. Punakha Suspension Bridge: One of the most unique bridges in the country, the Punakha Suspension Bridge is a popular tourist attraction. The 180 m-long bridge is fully made from iron and connects the Punakha Dzong with the rest of the valley.
Chimi Lakhang: Known for its architectural marvel and wall carvings, the Chimi Lakhang is one of the most popular tourist places in the valley. It was built in the name of Drukpa Kunley a teacher of Buddhism.
Jigme Dorji National Park: Jigme Dorji National Park is the largest national park in the country and houses some of the rare and endangered Himalayan species making it a must-visit place in Punakha.
