Buddha Dordenma: The golden marvel of Thimphu, the Buddha Dordenma is a beautifully designed park that houses the 51 m tall gold-plated statue of Buddha that acts as the main attraction point of this place.

Memorial Chorten: One of the tallest stupas in the city, Memorial Chorten is an iconic landmark for the Buddhist people. Located in the southern part of the city, the stupa is a religious site that attracts tourists with its architectural marvel and peaceful environment.

Tashichho Dzong: Considered to be one of the oldest monasteries of Bhutan, Tashichho Dzong is located at a distance of 2km from the city. Built-in the year 1641, the Dzong serves as the central secretariat for the government of Bhutan.

Motithang Takin reserve: Motithang Takin reserve is the largest reserve of Thimphu and home to the national animal of Bhutan, Takin. Apart from Takin, the place is also home to various species of birds making it an ideal place for bird watching.

Clock Tower Square: The tourist hub of Thimphu, located at the centre of the city, the clock tower is known for its architectural brilliance and wooden carvings. Surrounded by restaurants and hotels, this is one of the most visited attraction sites in Thimphu.
